An Unhappy Experience
Last year I had an unhappy experience in a creative writing class that I took. The first assignment was to write a mystery, and I wrote a murder mystery. I couldn’t wait for everyone to hear my awesome story. In the class, the teacher had everyone take turns reading in a circle. When I finally got my turn to read, the other students seemed to really enjoy my story. I was feeling good about their reactions until the teacher starting complaining that my story was a little too “dark.” She also said I needed some more foreshadowing, and she seemed to really dislike my story. She said, “why did you have to write about such a depressing subject?” I was thinking, “I don’t know how to make a murder mystery filled with shiny happy people.” She seemed completely pleased with all the other stories, which seemed to me as if they were written by first graders. At the end of the class, she informed us that in our next lesson we would make “pop-up” books out of our stories.
Note: Interesting observation. Thanks for sharing! |

I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry for being a waste of space
Sorry for it all
Even though it isn’t my fault
Sorry I met you sorry I cared sorry I knew,
Should I tell should I lie?
Maybe ill just curl into a ball and cry
Do what you’ve done, to me, ever since then
Lied
You told me it was nothing
I asked you again and again
I’ll tell you I’m fine next time you ask
“Are you in pain?”
Because you know it’s like asking
“Hey your bleeding does it hurt?”
I’m not dumb I’m not shallow
I didn’t even know how hallo you were
Guess I see it with the surge
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry it’s my fault for fighting
With you REAL FRIEND
After all she was the one who cracked my ribs and
Broke my jaw but yet it’s still my fault?
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry for it all
Wondering when this is all gonna end
Guess you’ll never know
Because you’ve pushed it to the point
I’m just gonna go
Leave for now leave for good
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
Hell I’m sorry for knowing you at all…

I hope I can make the rest of the parts as long as this. I'll try to expand on the prologue and 1st part later, when I compile them into 1 story. We'll see how it goes.
Note: Great! I can't wait to hear more! |

Part 1 of The Dragon Mark. Again, didn't know it would be so short.
Note: This is a great start! I'd love to hear more details! |

Not another anthem not another song
You danced on ice
For so long
So don’t tell it’s no big deal
This is so, stop you bull ****ing
And come on out
Tell me what you wanna say
I know you don’t trust
I know you couldn’t careless
But yet why do since that there is a
Rest
So stop your singing and stop the dancing
The ice is cracking and
I’m no long backing
This is the last time you’re gonna get
To talk because when it all melts
I’m gonna let
You drop
Your friends called me a clown
They picked on me beat on me
And hey! Guess what
I’m done
You let them push it you let them pull
I took the back seat because I thought
Well I thought I had a chance to stop
Stop the fighting, and the bitching
But hell that seems to be real true
I’m done looking up to you
I’m done saying sweet things
Be ready for gas cause soon your gonna burn
Don’t say that I should stop worrying
Because I never could I knew this would happen
And that I should have stopped it
But now that your ice glass thrown is breaking
And everything you knew,
you leaned on me
And I’m gonna let you see
See what I’ve seen
And know what you did to me
I’m not yours
I’m not the one on bottom
I’m just done.
Note: Writting can be a healing form of expression. |
